HP Omen 15-ax243dx Battery Replacement

Introduction

Is your battery dying often? Does it not hold charge or even not charge at all? Well maybe it's time to replace your battery and with this guide you can replace it with only 4 simple steps taking 5-10 minutes of you time. The only tool you will need is the standard #00 Phillips Screw-driver in order for you to remove the appropriate screws. Follow this guide to successfully remove the battery from your HP-Omen laptop.

    • The rear panel is secured by 10 screws. Using a #00 Phillips Screwdriver, remove the ten 1.2 mm screws.

    • The screwdriver should be inserted at the same angle as the screws.

    • Be sure to keep track of the screws and where they came from. Some only fit in to one spot.

    • Insert the plastic opening tool between the rear panel and the top casing. Gently push the opening tool upwards to remove the bottom case.

    • Follow your hand behind the tool and lift the case up gently.

    • If too much pressure and force is applied, you could crack one of the panels.

    • Remove the four 1.2 mm Phillips #00 screws around the battery.

    • Pull the cable out to disconnect the battery from the device. The battery will lift straight out of the device.

    • Disconnect the cord from the battery and dispose of the battery if needed.

Hello,

I replaced the battery but it is not charging. I know it’s an easy repair, but I checked the pins but not sure where the problem is.

Any ideas?

Does the laptop show any indication that it detects the battery?

I’ve replaced the battery with one I bought from here, and I believe it may be faulty? My laptop is not detecting a battery, I opened it back up and followed the guide again to make sure I did everything right, and made sure the battery cord was inserting securely, still nothing.

We took the battery out of your laptop then put it back in because it wouldnt turn on, it turns on now but the left usb ports are not getting powered, is there any way to make sure that they are powered when we get our replacement battery in the laptop?
