Introduction
Whether you're replacing the filters, or installing them for the first time, this guide is for you. Without properly installed filters in your water tank, your filtered water system is essentially useless. By following this guide you can have correctly installed filters in your system ready to enjoy for years to come.
When you have finished with your filter replacement, make sure to mark a date in your calendar for a year in the future to replace them again.

Take the top half of your Berkey off, and place it to the side of your work station.

Unscrew the Black Element filters by twisting the black washers counterclockwise.

Remove the filters from the top compartment.

Securely attach the priming tool to the Black Elements nozzle.

Push the filter nozzle against the tap for 10 seconds per filter to remove any impurities.

Place your new Black Element filters through the holes in the top compartment.

Continue to screw the washer around the nozzle to secure the Black Element in place.

Screw our new White Element filters over the nozzle of the Black Element filters, and repeat to attach all pieces securely.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
