Introduction
If your sliding gate opener isn't working at all or when you use it the gate moves very slowly and not smooth at all, use this guide to replace the tension belt.
The tension belt is wrapped around the motor and pulley and enables power transmission allowing the motor to pull or push the gate along the track. A worn-out tension belt can decrease the performance of the gate opener making the gate move in a very rough and loud manner.
Before beginning, make sure to power off the sliding gate opener completely,

Lift the cover off the sliding gate opener to reveal the old tension belt.

Insert a flathead screwdriver under the old tension belt to lift it, then rotate the pulley while pulling the belt off.

Put the new tension belt around the motor and over the top of the pulley.

Spin the tension belt to lock it on properly to the motor and pulley.

Check that the tension belt moves with the motor and pulley. If it does not, manually rotate it until it seats properly and operates as intended.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
