Inspiron 7359 2-in-1 Battery Replacement

Introduction

The Dell Inspiron 13 7359 2-in-1 is an excellent computer with a 3-cell, 43Wh battery, giving you 3-5 hours of battery life. If you find that the battery life has decreased significantly (the computer only lasts an hour or two on a battery life alone), if the battery starts to charge to full too slowly, or if your device is alerting you of any critical battery failures, it's an easy fix that's well worth the value of the computer. You won't need more than the actual replacement battery and a few tools to disassemble the computer, so follow this guide and keep this great computer in tip-top shape.

    • Turn off device before starting.

    • Turn the laptop upside down with the logo facing the surface of the table.

    • Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the ten 8mm screws from the back case of the laptop.

    • Use a spudger to separate the back cover from the laptop.

    • Start from one corner and work your way around the edge of the cover.

    • Be careful not to bend or crack the back cover.

    • All hardware components should be exposed.

    • Unscrew two 8mm screws with a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

    • Unscrew one silver, wide-head, 8mm screw with a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

    • Disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard.

    • Make sure to keep all screws together and label where you unscrewed them from.

    • To remove the old battery, lift from the bottom and pull the battery towards you.
