If available, find a clean work surface to set up tools and supplies to prevent contamination.

Confirm all provided parts have been received. Any missing parts should be reported to RESM and Customer Support Team with a picture of all parts that have been received.

Establish a zone of safety around the work area.

Remove the guard using 13mm socket wrench
-
Place absorbent materials (e.g. Pigmats, towels) to catch fluids.
-
Use available material to stabilize plate above the existing block.
-
-
-
Disconnect the top hose from the flow control valve.
-
Disconnect the bottom hose from the cylinder.
-
Unscrew bottom cylinder fitting, capturing any oil that may discharge in a small cup or disposable container. Plug hole with a paper towel.
-
Remove of cotter pins from each of the two (2) cylinder retaining pins, then dislodge retaining pins.
-
Cylinder may be removed carefully as to prevent oil from spilling.

Remove the fittings from the old cylinder. Save for later.

Lubricate the new cylinder by adding NLGI #2 grease to both grease fittings.

Assemble the filter and fittings onto the new cylinder.

Insert new cylinder with supplied filter and reused flow control valve.

Return the retaining pins and secure with cotter pins.
-
Reattach bottom cylinder fitting.
-
Reconnect the bottom hose to the cylinder.
-
Reconnect the top hose to the flow control valve.
-

Remove the stabilizing prop between plate and existing block.
-
Remove LOTO device from service disconnect. Re-energize the asset.
-
Power on the densifier at the control panel.
-

Exercise the jaw using manual mode for six (6) full strokes, noting that Down then up is counted as one (1) stroke. Leave in down position when completed.

Return to Auto Start mode when completed.
-
Check for leaks at the cylinder and hoses.
-
Check hydraulic oil levels, replenishing with #46 oil as necessary.

Feed densifier with Styrofoam to ensure equipment operates as normal.

There should be a total of four (4) Magnets (Part Number DPFV-MAGNET). The magnets should either be in use or located in the electrical cabinet.

Take picture(s) of all four (4) magnets.

Any missing magnets not captured in pictures should be advised in the service notes.

Reinstall guard onto densifier, ensuring no pinch points.
-
Wipe equipment surfaces and sweep excessive Styrofoam on floor.
-
Discard oil in Hazmat area.
-
Collect tools, supplies, and items used for Zone of Safety.
-

-
Use included Return Label found behind the original label.
-
Drop of package at the nearest FedEx location.
