Introduction

If your Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet 1838 has no sound coming out from the speaker, your speaker might need to get reconnected or be replaced. These instructions will help with getting to the speaker module in your tablet.

  1. Remove the middle button by putting a plastic spudger or your fingernail underneath the button and lifting up.

  5. Before you separate the panels, there is a ribbon cable connecting the LCD to the motherboard. To avoid damage of the ribbon cable, lift the panel with the LCD from right to left like opening a book.
