Logitech K860 Disassembly

Ce dont vous avez besoin

  1. Logitech K860 Disassembly, Keyboard: étape 1, image 1 de 1
    • Unscrew everything. Some screws are under the small resin stands.

    • Beware: 1 screw is placed right under the serial number on the sticker. This will void your warranty.

  2. Logitech K860 Disassembly: étape 2, image 1 de 2 Logitech K860 Disassembly: étape 2, image 2 de 2
    • It's not me, the resizing tool here is a joke. Anyway, you need to unclip the wrist pad and unscrew some stuff again. Like 4-5 screws here.

  3. Logitech K860 Disassembly: étape 3, image 1 de 1
    • Disconnect the on/off switch from the back cover. As you can see, all the plastic standoffs are melted and squashed so that you can take this plate off but only once. I tried to crush some of them, it's possible but all of them will take way too much time and most likely you wouldn't be able to have the same rigidity after all this.

  4. Logitech K860 Disassembly: étape 4, image 1 de 1
    • Now you are left with this beautiful view. You can unscrew the ground for the small board and the board itself. You can even unscrew 2 screws on either side of the keyboard. What you cannot do is to take this whole metal back-plate off simply cause Logitech is trying to not let anyone actually clean this stuff and see the membrane trickery.

Conclusion

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

Great guide! the part about the hidden screw under the serial number in particular was a life saver.

One thing that's not clear is which slots take the smaller vs the larger screws, it would help to annotate that as now I'm blindly screwing whatever fits.

OK so IINM, the 6 small screws all go on the upper half of the reverse side. There is also one slot for a longer screw (closest to the power switch). Anyway the longer screws don't fit in the small slots so it's easy.

Great guide. But I have 2 buttons that are not working, if it can not get to te membrane how can i test it or clean it?
