Introduction
The speaker in the Motorola Moto G7 is a basic bottom-ported speaker made by Dolby Audio. The speaker is used to transmit noise out of the phone without any external headphones or Bluetooth speaker used. A broken speaker may consist of poor audio quality or no audio at all with the volume turned on.
Before you begin, download the Rescue and Smart Assistant app to backup your device and diagnose whether your problem is software or hardware related.
Before beginning, make sure the device is unplugged from any chargers or headphones. Before starting, grab suggested tools and a new speaker.

Use the iFixit opening tools to gently wedge the front screen from the rest of the device.

Remove three 3.7mm T3 Torx screws from the bottom of the phone.

Use the spudger to gently lift the speaker out of the phone.
