      • Insert the tips of the round nose pliers inside the holes and pull the retaining ring open to remove it. This will allow you to lift the plastic blade socket.

      • Reach under the rim of the old blade socket and pull it upwards while pressing on the drive axle at the center. You might need to 'wiggle' the blade socket a bit in order for it to become loose.

      • Place the new blade socket onto the axle matching the recess to the flattened sides of it.

      • Insert the tips of the round nose pliers in the retainer ring's holes and push both together so the oval is almost closed. This tightens the ring.

      • Once the retainer ring is "tight", push it in top of the axel to insert it in its original position. Take note that the ring is oval shaped and this matches the shape of the axel.

      • After making sure the blade socket is securely fastened to the axel by the ring, insert the silicone cover.
