It would be handy to tell us a reliable place to obtain the adhesive from as iFixit doesn't appear to stock it

I snagged a replacement front and back glass adhesive and a new daughter board for the S6 from http://www.mobiledefenders.com/. They seem okay so far. Only about a buck for the adhesives, plus shipping.

Will the adhesive for a galaxy s6 work on the back cover of an s6 edge?

shabria jones - Réponse

It won't work. Size is different. One for S6 is larger

Couldn't you just cut it to size? If it's just a pad of adhesive, you should be able to just cut it to the smaller backing size. I'd assume it's non conductive, but make sure it's not blocking anything important.

amazon has the S6 film

Richard Meyers - Réponse

I ordered a rear glass housing from amazon with the adhesive pre-aligned and installed so that all I have to do is peel away the film and snap it on.

While cleaning off the old adhesive the rear housing broke into 3 pieces??!! I was using a kitchen table place mat….I would have appreciated the author giving me a heads up on how fragile the rear cover is.

It’s glass. That should be warning enough.
