I recommend wearing eye protection to avoid getting glass shards in the eyes. It is very important to heat the edges of the display well with a hair dryer/heat gun to loosen the double-sided adhesive and allow the insertion of a pry tool to open it.

Insert the pry tool between the colored plastic edge and the glass (not between the plastic and aluminum edge) and begin to separate the display from the body.

Lift the display gradually along the edges
