Samsung Q330 Keyboard Replacement

Introduction

Hello everyone, in this guide I`ll be showing you how to open the laptop in order to change the keyboard.

    • Unscrew all the screws holding the back panel in place.

    • Remove the battery and the small panel to reveal more screws.

    • Remove the HDD and RAM.

    • Slide out the DVD drive.

    • Unscrew the heatsink and fan assembly. Disconnect the fan and remove it.

    • Remove the screws that hold the motherboard in place

    • Disconnect the touchpad, keyboard, USB module and Wi-Fi module.

    • Disconnect the power, screen and speaker connectors.

    • Unscrew the hinges and remove the display.

    • Remove the motherboard.

    • Peel and remove the black cover.

    • Use a soldering iron with a big tip, to melt the plastic rivets that hold the metal case for the keyboard.

    • Use a prying tool the remove the metal case.

    • Remove the old keyboard, place the new one and dont forget to place the metal case on top of it.

    • You can reuse the black cover is you want.
