In this guide, you will learn how to remove and replace the RAM Memory Chips from your laptop. If you have this exact laptop, follow the below steps. If you have another laptop, that is still okay, these steps will give you a basic understanding on how to remove the RAM Memory Chips and you can adapt them to your own computer.

    • Make sure your device is powered off and unplugged to avoid electric shock.

    • Place your device upside down with the bottom panel facing upwards.

    • Orient the device so the battery is away from you as shown

    • Unlock the battery by sliding the lock switch to the right.

    • Locate the release latch. Slide the latch to the left to remove the battery from your laptop.

    • Be sure to lift up on the battery while you slide the latch to the left.

    • With the screw loosened but not removed, lift up and remove the panel.

    • Pull silver tabs away from the chip.

    • The chip will pop up, this is normal.

    • Don't touch gold pins on RAM chip.
