If by troubleshooting you have determined that your USB cord is defective, you will need to replace it. This guide will demonstrate how to replace a faulty USB cord.

Remove the plastic cover and pack of weights.
Remove the two 1.0 mm foam covers with tweezers.
Peel away the plastic screw cover with tweezers.

Remove the four 1.0 mm screws with a Ph #1 screwdriver.
Gently remove the top of the mouse.

Locate the 5-pin connector on the mouse's motherboard.
Use the tweezers to carefully pull the 5-pin connector off. Do this by grasping the connector and wiggling it back and forth until it is off.
Once removed, place new 5-pin connector on in the same way.
