The 1st-generation Pontiac Vibe takes advantage of a dual-filament tail light bulb, which means a single bulb is responsible for both the running tail lights and the brake lights. One or both of the filaments in the bulb can burn out, requiring replacement of the entire bulb. [ … ] It’s best to replace both the left and right side bulbs at the same time, even if only one is burned out. This ensures the brightness level of both bulbs are identical. Plus, most replacement bulbs come in pairs of two anyway.
