[* icon_note] We will now focus on opening the heart of the Barista: the boiler.
[* black] Remove the four hex bolts securing the brew head to the boiler assembly.
[* black] Lift the brew head off the boiler.

- [* black] The perforated plate evenly spreads out the steam/boiling water to evenly brew the ground coffee held in the basket.

[* black] Use a a large standard screwdriver (we used a washer and a pair of pliers) to remove the one-way valve spring retainer from the bottom of the boiler.
- [* icon_note] The one-way valve spring is tuned to only allow the valve to open when the pressure reaches a certain level, coordinating to the perfect temperature for brewing espresso.
