| + | [* black] Using the plastic opening tool, detach the silver plate from the laptop and set the laptop aside. First remove the keyboard. Gently nudge the two ears at either end of the connector out, away from the connector. The cable should then slip out. |
| + | [* black] Then remove 7 screws holding the silverplastic/metal to the lower black mb&frame. Detach the two ribbon cables, power button, & touch pad. Gently nudge out the two grey ears on either side away from the connector, releasing the ribbon. Then you can begin to gently pry the silver cover & metal away from the lower black frame and mb. |
