Ce dont vous avez besoin

  1. iPad Mini Home button Replacement, Reveal solder pads: étape 1, image 1 de 1
    • Use heat to losen the adhesive. A low temp hot air gun will suffice.

    • After heating up the adhesive, you can use a basic spudger to pry off the flex from the glass

    • be sure not to use too much force, this flex is very fragile.

  2. iPad Mini Home button Replacement, Apply your own solder: étape 2, image 1 de 1
    • use your iron, and low guage solder to apply a layer of your own solder on the pads

    • the new solder will allow for faster, and more controlled heat transfer.

  3. iPad Mini Home button Replacement, Remove the flex: étape 3, image 1 de 1
    • a few back and forth strokes of your soldering iron should be enough to remove the flex cable.

    • be sure not to apply too much force with the iron, as you can cause physical damage to the pads.

    • Using a little bit of solder flux, can help decrease the amount of pressure needed to properly transfer the heat.

  4. iPad Mini Home button Replacement, Line up the pads: étape 4, image 1 de 1
    • be sure to make sure you can see directly through the holes marked on both sides.

    • Line the corrisponding holes up, and make sure they are 100% overlapped.

    • failing to properly line up the holes can cause a short, or cold circuit.

  5. iPad Mini Home button Replacement, Re-Solder: étape 5, image 1 de 1
    • Use the new solder you added, to connect to the flex.

    • be sure to cover the traces with some electrical tape to avoid shorts.

    • congratulations on your home button replacement
