Separate the Rear Glass Adhesive

  • Power your phone off before you begin.

  • If possible, drain the battery before disassembly. When the battery is charged, there's an increased risk of a dangerous thermal event if the battery is overheated or damaged during repairs.

  • If the rear glass is cracked, completely cover it with packing tape to contain the glass shards and avoid injury.

  • Prepare an iOpener and heat the back of the phone along its bottom edge for about two minutes, or until it's slightly too hot to touch. This will help soften the adhesive securing the rear glass.

  • You may need to reheat and reapply the iOpener several times to get the phone warm enough. Follow the iOpener instructions to avoid overheating.

  • A hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate may also be used, but be careful not to overheat the phone—the display and internal battery are both susceptible to heat damage.

Décoller la vitre arrière

Éteignez votre téléphone avant de commencer.

Si possible, videz la batterie avant le démontage. Une batterie chargée surchauffée ou abîmée pendant la réparation risque plus de déclencher un accident thermique dangereux.

Si la vitre arrière est fissurée, recouvrez-la complètement de ruban adhésif d'emballage pour maintenir les éclats de verre et éviter de vous blesser.

Préparez un iOpener et chauffez le bord extérieur du dos du téléphone pendant environ deux minutes ou bien jusqu'à ce qu'il soit légèrement trop chaud au toucher. Cela aidera à ramollir l'adhésif qui fixe la coque arrière.

Vous devrez peut-être réchauffer et réappliquer plusieurs fois l'iOpener avant que le téléphone soit suffisamment chaud. Respectez les instructions de l'iOpener pour éviter toute surchauffe.

Un sèche-cheveux, un pistolet à air chaud ou une plaque chauffante peuvent également faire l'affaire, mais faites attention à ne pas surchauffer le téléphone. L'écran et la batterie sont tous deux sensibles à la chaleur.
