Separate the bottom edge adhesive

  • Apply a suction cup to the back of the phone, as close to the center of the bottom edge as possible.

  • If your display is badly cracked, covering it with a layer of clear packing tape may allow the suction cup to adhere. Alternatively, very strong tape may be used instead of the suction cup. If all else fails, you can superglue the suction cup to the broken screen.

  • Pull on the suction cup with strong, steady force to create a gap between the back cover and the frame.

  • Insert the point of an opening pick into the gap.

  • Due to tight tolerances, this may take multiple attempts of reheating with the iOpener and separating with the suction cup before you get it right.

  • If you are having trouble creating a gap, apply more heat to the edge and try again.

  • Do not apply excessive force with the pick, or you risk cracking the back cover glass.

Décoller le bord inférieur

Posez une ventouse sur la coque arrière du téléphone, aussi près que possible du milieu du bord inférieur.

Si votre écran est méchamment fissuré, recouvrez-le d'une couche de ruban adhésif transparent pour que la ventouse adhère mieux. Vous pouvez aussi utiliser du ruban adhésif épais à la place de la ventouse. Si aucune des deux solutions ne marche, vous pouvez coller la ventouse à l'écran cassé avec de la superglue.

Tirez fortement et constamment sur la ventouse pour ouvrir un espace entre la coque arrière et le châssis.

Insérez la pointe d'un médiator dans l'espace.

En raison des tolérances minimes, il vous faudra peut-être essayer à plusieurs reprises de chauffer avec l'iOpener et de tirer sur la ventouse avant d'y arriver.

Si vous avez du mal, refaites chauffer le bord et réessayez.

Ne forcez pas avec le médiator, vous risquez sinon de fissurer la vitre arrière.
