  • Inside, the first thing to catch our eye is adhesive. Guess that's why Nothing made the Ear (1) only partly transparent—adhesive is not very pleasing, and they know it!

  • The second point of interest is a button cell battery, similar to what we found in the AirPods Pro and the Galaxy Buds Pro.

  • As long as this is not a custom cell, this might be a good sign for replaceability.

  • In order to continue, we need to disconnect the in-ear portion from the stem. And it looks like we're lucky with adhesive for once ...

  • This red glob glues a tiny press-fit connector to its socket and prevents it from accidentally disconnecting during a fall.

  • With delicacy, and without any heating or tearing, we manage to maneuver our tweezers around the adhesive and disconnect the flex cable. Huzzah!

C'est l'adhésif qui nous saute aux yeux en premier. Il a probablement motivé la conception partiellement transparente des ear (1) – la colle n'est pas très conviviale, les ingénieurs le savent !

Ensuite notre attention est attirée par une batterie en forme de pile bouton, similaire à celle que nous avions trouvée dans les AirPods Pro et les Galaxy Buds Pro.

Tant qu'il ne s'agit pas d'une batterie propriétaire, cela pourrait être bon signe pour la réparabilité.

Afin de pouvoir continuer, nous devons démonter la partie intra-auriculaire de la tige. Et on dirait bien que nous avons de la chance avec l'adhésif pour une fois…

Cette goutte rouge colle un minuscule connecteur à emboîter dans sa prise et l'empêche de se débrancher accidentellement en cas de choc ou de chute.

Avec soin, mais sans rien chauffer ni déchirer, nous parvenons à contourner l'adhésif avec notre pincette et déconnecter la nappe. Hourra !
