Insert an opening pick

  • Secure a suction handle to the bottom edge of the back cover, as close to the edge as possible.

  • If the back cover is badly cracked, covering it with a layer of clear packing tape may allow the suction cup to adhere. Alternatively, very strong tape may be used instead of the suction cup. If all else fails, you can superglue the suction cup to the broken cover.

  • Lift the back cover with the suction handle to create a small gap between the back cover and the frame.

  • If you have trouble creating a gap, apply more heat to further soften the adhesive. Follow the iOpener instructions to avoid overheating.

  • Insert an opening pick into the gap you created.

  • Slide the opening pick to the bottom left corner to slice the adhesive.

  • Leave the opening pick in place to prevent the adhesive from resealing.

Insérer un médiator

Mettez en place une ventouse en bas de la coque arrière, aussi près du bord que possible.

Si la coque arrière est méchamment fissurée, la couvrir avec du ruban adhésif transparent peut aider la ventouse à adhérer. Autrement, utilisez du ruban adhésif très puissant à la place de la ventouse. Si tout le reste échoue, vous pouvez coller la ventouse à la coque cassée.

Soulevez la coque arrière avec la ventouse pour créer un petit espace entre la coque arrière et le châssis.

S'il est difficile de créer cet espace, chauffez un peu plus pour ramollir l'adhésif davantage. Suivez les instructions de l'iOpener pour éviter la surchauffe.

Insérez un médiator dans l'espace que vous avez créé.

Faites glisser le médiator vers le coin en bas à gauche, pour couper l'adhésif.

Laissez le médiator en place pour empêcher l'adhésif de recoller.
