Insert an opening pick

  • Once the screen is warm to touch, apply a suction handle to the left edge of the screen and as close to the edge as possible.

  • If your screen is badly cracked, covering it with a layer of clear packing tape may allow the suction cup to adhere. Alternatively, very strong tape may be used instead of the suction handle. If all else fails, you can superglue the suction cup to the screen.

  • Lift the screen with the suction handle to create a small gap between the screen and the frame.

  • Insert an opening pick into the gap between the frame and the screen.

  • Slide the opening pick to the top left corner of the screen to slice its adhesive.

  • Only use the tip of the opening pick (4–5 mm) during this procedure to avoid tangling with the in-display fingerprint cable or accidentally tearing it.

  • Leave the opening pick in place to prevent the adhesive from resealing.

Insérer un médiator

Dès que l'écran est chaud au toucher, positionnez une ventouse sur le côté gauche de l'écran, aussi près du bord que possible.

Si la vitre arrière est méchamment fissurée, la ventouse risque de ne pas adhérer. Couvrez la vitre d'une couche ruban adhésif ou bien essayez de la remplacer par du ruban adhésif épais ou bien collez la ventouse avec de la superglue et laissez sécher avant de continuer.

Soulevez l'écran à l'aide de la ventouse pour créer un petit interstice entre l'écran et le châssis.

Insérez un médiator dans l'interstice entre le châssis central et l'écran.

Faites glisser le médiator vers le coin supérieur gauche de l'écran, afin de découper l'adhésif.

N'utilisez que la pointe du médiator (~4 à 5 mm) lors de cette procédure, afin d'éviter d'accrocher ou déchirer accidentellement la nappe du lecteur d'empreintes digitales.

Laissez le médiator en place pour éviter que l'adhésif adhère de nouveau.
