  • Repeat for the second strip.

  • If you removed both strips successfully, skip the next step.

  • If the adhesive breaks off underneath the battery and can't be retrieved, apply a few drops of high concentration (over 90%) isopropyl alcohol under the edge of the battery in the area of the broken adhesive strip(s).

  • Wait about one minute for the alcohol solution to weaken the adhesive. Use the flat end of a spudger to gently lift the battery.

  • Don't try to forcefully lever the battery out. If needed, apply a few more drops of alcohol to further weaken the adhesive. Never deform or puncture the battery with your pry tool.

  • Do not pry against the logic board or you may damage the phone.

  • Avoid prying at the top left near the volume controls, or you may damage the volume button ribbon cable.

  • You can also try the alternative methods in the next step.

Als je beide strips met succes hebt weten te verwijderen, kun je de volgende twee stappen overslaan.

Als één van de kleefstrips onder de batterij is afgebroken en deze niet meer los te krijgen is, kun je een aantal druppels isopropyl alcohol (>90%) onder de batterij toedienen, zo dicht mogelijk bij de afgebroken kleefstrip(s).

Wacht ongeveer een minuut, zodat de alcohol in kan trekken en de lijm kan verzwakken. Gebruik het platte einde van je spudge rom de batterij vervolgens op voorzichtige wijze omhoog te tillen.

Probeer de batterij er niet met botte kracht uit te wrikken. Indien nodig kun je wat extra druppels alcohol toedienen langs de randen van de batterij. Probeer echter te allen tijde te voorkomen dat je de batterij met je wriktool vervormt of doorboort.

Wrik niet onder of tegen het logic board, aangezien je daarmee permanente schade aan je telefoon kunt veroorzaken.

Wrik niet in het gebied linksboven de batterij, in de buurt van de volumeknoppen. Als je dit wel doet, riskeer je het beschadigen van de lintkabel van de volumeknoppen.

Als je een alternatieve methode zoekt voor het verwijderen van de batterij, ga je verder met de volgende stap.
