A noter que l'Odyssey 100 utilisait des circuits discrets. Magnavox avait proposé une conception de puce unique pour l'Odyssey 100, mais voulait un appareil capable de sortir immédiatement même si Texas Instruments ne livre pas les puces à temps. Une conception à puce unique serait l'une des améliorations trouvées dans l'Odyssey 200.
