  • Turn off your Chromebook and disconnect any charging cables.

  • Turn the Chromebook over so that the back panel with the Chromebook's serial number is facing upward.

  • Use the Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the twelve screws from the back panel.

  • Use an opening tool to detach the back panel. Start at one of the four corners of the Chromebook and gently work around the edges. Insert it in the crease where the back panel and the main board meet. You should hear a slight click; this is the sound of the back panel detaching from the board.

  • Be careful not to apply too much force or you could damage the ribbon cable that connects the back panel to the motherboard.

  • Once you have detached the back panel, do not lift it vertically from the Chromebook. With the Chromebook facing in the direction as shown in the picture above, take the right hand side of the back panel and lift it toward the left, as if you are opening a book.

Retournez le Chromebook de sorte que le panneau arrière avec l'étiquette et le numéro de série soit tourné vers le haut.

Localisez les douze vis et dévissez-les à l’aide de votre tournevis / écrou.

Après avoir retiré chacune des douze vis, utilisez un outil d’ouverture en plastique pour détacher le panneau arrière en l’insérant entre les plis, à la jonction du panneau arrière et de la carte principale. Pour ce faire, la meilleure solution consiste à commencer à l’un des quatre coins du Chromebook et à travailler doucement autour des bords. Veillez à ne pas appliquer trop de force, sinon vous pourriez endommager le câble ruban qui relie le panneau arrière à la carte mère.

Une fois le panneau arrière détaché, ne le soulevez pas verticalement du Chromebook. Le Chromebook faisant face dans le sens de l'image ci-dessus, prenez le côté extérieur droit du panneau arrière et soulevez-le vers la gauche, comme si vous ouvriez le capot avant d'un livre.
