The subject I am presently majoring in is visual communication design. At the moment, I am currently not studying any other subject, but that is subject to change over time. Because I am a freshman, this is the first of many quarters that I will be attending at Eastern Washington University. If all goes well, my plan for graduation is set for the end of spring quarter in 2018. Skills that I acquire that could be valuable for this project is my heavy design background, as I am majoring in a design field. My experience with do-it-yourself projects is average--especially with home decor--but my experience with this doesn't go past what I can do with a glue gun or sewing kit. So, my past experiences may not be the most helpful in iFixit situations, but I am willing to gain knowledge and apply the knowledge I do have to creating iFixit tutorials.

Réponse à : « Why is my device freezing shutting down randomly? »Oh no! I had the same experience with this laptop, too. After days of trying to diagnose it, I came to the conclusion that it was the hard drive! Mine was "dying,"although I had only owned my laptop for a couple months (this could be a manufacturer error, don't worry!) but I fixed it by replacing the hard drive, and my laptop was good as new. Look at this device's hard drive repair guide on here for further information! Hope this helps!
Réponse à : « Why is my computer so hot? »I had the same problem! This specific laptop is prone to collecting dust and debris in the fan overtime, so it's not your fault. The dust is what is causing the laptop to overheat--it can easily be fixed by disassembling the laptop and cleaning out the fan with compressed air. That should do the trick! If not, you may need to replace the fan. Another tip is to make sure you're allowing the fan to ventilate while you're using the laptop, so try to avoid using it on your lap, blanket, or any other soft surfaces. Hope this helps!
