I don't like paying a mechanic unless I have to because why pay when you can benefit from learning like my father and Grandfather did.
I used to work in a small engine repair shop with my parents when I was a youngling and my first engine was a BS 9hp, 1962 that had been through a flood, rebuilt it as a class project and the engine finally died in 2010 on my dad's snapper riding mower.
I also work on my own ford truck. I have a service manual for a 1993-2001 Ford F-150.
If you need a page, or a section or need a copy, drop me a note at email@example.com and I'll set it up for ya.

Réponse à : « What is the nominal for R1 resistor? »I believe that you are needing to know the power rating of a resistor. Check these websites and a resistor calculator might help. calculator: https://www.engineering.com/Library/Arti...-Code-for-Resistors.aspx info: https://www.electronics-tutorials.ws/resistor/res_7.html
Réponse à : « Why is one of my handles pushed more forward than the other? »Handles are our of adjustment. While sitting in the seat, look at the base of the handles and see if there are two bolts. You can loosen them and reset the handles. The easiest is to do those while it is running to prevent traveling while is it running.
Réponse à : « need help with stator do I need a voltage regulator or Diode »Anytime that you have a battery system connecting to the stator like an alternator, you would need a diode, this prevents the reversing flow of the electrons to the other circuits to cause the damage like shorting out. I would also see if you can find a repair manual on your engine, there would be more technical information in it.
Réponse à : « Engine won't start after camshaft replacement »Have you checked the valve seats when you replaced the head gasket? Also did you reset the spacing of the coil arms using an index card? The timing is usually controlled either by a key on the flywheel or electronic points underr the flywheel. Usually loss of compression could be cause either by blow by on the piston or leaking valve or seat ..

Réponse à : « Need a solenoid and starter for 1991 JC Penny Riding Lawn Mower »Not only what old turkey stated, but using one from an auto is not the way because of the design of the magnetic coils within it. They'll chew up a battery really quick, they have more electrical coils in it. Go to to your local lawn mower parts supplier such as Napa, Orschlin or the like, take a picture of the relay if you can and grab the model of the mower. The reason for this is because the safety part of the relay is different for each model. Sometimes there is an extra wire that is attached that goes to the other safety switches, ergo the operator seat switch and the like. Some models have it on the left side of the relay and some have it on the right and there is a few models that do not have one at all. That's the reason for the pics and th model number. As a helper you can also go to parts tree.com, to find the part number of the relay if you have model number. Good luck!
Réponse à : « Why doesn’t my done fly, it just turns on? »When you insert the battery and you sync the remote. After 20 mins of flight time, is there small red and white lights that flash? If so, then you need to recharge the battery using the USB adapter that comes with it. My Nano does the same thing. One trick to sync is place it on a level hard surface with the head of it facing away from you. Press the left joystick slightly over half and then power up the drone. When you power it up, you should see two white "eyes" that slowly turn on and off, like pulsing, press all the way up on the left joystick, hear a beep, then all the way down and hear a beep. The eyes will stay on. to make sure that you have a good sync, barely push up on the left joystick and the propellers should turn on but not lift off. If you have a bad sync, it will take off really fast and you need to resync it. I have done this many times. Also you might want to look on amazon for some new batteries, the ones that come with the unit under normal usage usually last about 16 months. Look on...
Réponse à : « Why is my ABS locking up »It is possible that you have a sensor that is faulted out or the abs module is bad and needs replaced. If you remove the fuse, you cut the power to the abs system which will not make the abs system in use when you need to break hard. My best opionion because this is part of a safety system for a vehicle, you need to take it to your local Ford repair shop and have them to run a diagnostic on it. I found this from another forum from Ford. This might help you out. Just remember, you will still have brakes, just no ABS when you have to brake hard. https://www.justanswer.com/ford/4ilso-ford-explorer-abs-light-time-abs.html There is a pinpoint test in there that might help you figuring it out.
Réponse à : « GAS & brake pedal moves side to side »Not sure if this model has it nor not, my 01 ford F150 has a button on the left side console near the headlight switch that will adjust the brake and accelerator pedal in and out. But if it moving left and right, then it could be the holding frame that is underneath that is loose and needs to be addressed immediately. I would not recommend driving/operating this due to the accelerator could be compromised and allow the vehicle to be stuck in accelerate. I have a 1997-2003 repair manual. I just don't know where to post the manual for you to get.
Réponse à : « I cant get on the internet--computer not detecting my wifi »Power up the pc. Look for a small symbol that looks like a wifi radar on the lower right hand of the screen sometimes you might have to unhide it to see it, look for a small upward arrow. If it is not there, lets check to see if it has been turned off. Press the CTRL and F8. you should see a notification that tell you that the "radio" is on or off. if it on and you cannot get connected, then let's try this: Press windows key and "r", type command A black box would appear and type this: ping 127.0.0.1 and should get this Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss), if you did then your internal wifi is good, if not, then there is a probem with your computer's internal wifi, this is where you want to check to see if your device is in the device manager in the computer. type ipconfig and look for "default gateway", copy those numbers If you see a device disconnected here instead of numbers for the default gateway, then it is a sure thing that your computer has a problem with the connection. There is a...
