Concerning the screw hole that the tweezers are shown holding: upon reassembly, if the screw is tightened down to snug then the volume button adjacent to it will be forced closed. I rechecked the alignment of the button and found it to be aligned correctly with the locator pins in the holes. I left the screw just barely snug and applied a tiny amount of penetrating thread locker under the head of the screw to keep it from backing out. Everything seems to work. This particular iPad was dropped and we had the screen replaced. All worked when we got it back but the same volume button eventually started sticking closed. I suspect that the switch bracket or frame was bent as a result of the initial drop. Hopefully It’ll work for us after reassembly.
