thanks for the great instructions! most surprising part was that i didn’t break the cheapo plastic tools. used a couple guitar picks too. and the tip of a metal blade to release the battery cable from the motherboard connector. i was fortunate that the case came apart without too much trouble and the old battery just took a few minutes of gentle rocking to come loose (and the audio cable below the battery was attached to the case and not the battery) … the cheapest offer i got from a pro to do the same job was $119, so i feel as though i should go out and celebrate … but all the bars and cafes are closed due to covid now. oh well. hang in there
