For example it's not the first time that I see this component u13 fail. If you can measure the rear camera tension on the line before this component but not after it you can remove it and run a jumper to restore the tension that allows the rear camera to work. It could also be one of the many filters or capacitors that are on the rear camera connector lines, they are a lot. It's not easy to find the problem and it's also more difficult to fix it without a microscope and some experience in microsoldering.
There are several component on the board that could have failed so there is not the right communication between the logic board and the rear camera. It is a microsoldering work, without the right equipment and skills you can't do anything more than that, I'm sorry. You could try another camera but it almost impossible that the two you have now are both faulty.
From what I've seen in several years it's not so easy to damage a screen with water but I've seen many iphone with touchscreen not responding after water damage, because of corrosion or some damaged component on the board. You should try first to bring the phone to a technician with the proper equipment, I'm talking about an ultrasonic cleaner, that he can use to wash the board and remove any corrosion on it. Your phone could come back to work after that.
From what I understand it seems that you have a faulty screen. I would try another screen assembly before selling it, it's difficult that something has been damaged by water if you have white tapes on the board, they are very sensitive.
New batteries have never been charged so you set the life of that battery with the first 3-4 complete charge/discharge cycles that every seller recommend to do. You should let the battery charge with the phone off for 10-12 hours for these cycles then you can use it as you want. It makes a big difference, that's why I think that the battery you have is acting like this. If after making it charge and discharge like this it keeps working bad you probably have a bad battery.
Hi shane, two weeks ago apple has released an upgrade to solve the error 53 related to a damaged or swapped home button. Just try again now to update with itunes and you should be able to restore it. Hope this can help you.
Hi Joel, the problem is that the optical drive and the motherboard have serial numbers that are married, if you change the whole drive this is going to work since it doesn't have the right serial number.
Hi jj1355810, the led logo you tried to add works making contact with the pins the backlight uses to connect to the lcd and takes power from that. It looks like you damaged that part or the backlight itself making contact between the different pins of the backlight shorting them. I would suggest to try to resold the pins of the backlight or try to put a new one, it's not a difficult operation but the 6s' backlight is way more expensive because it contains the touch 3d chip. Hope this can help you.
