Try to clean your system instead of an Downgrade using the following tools: After each run, restart your computer : 1 - ComboFix ( <= Windows 8 ) Close your Anti-virus before you lunch it ! 2 - ZHPCleaner 3 - AdwCleaner It will work fine & very fast after that ! :)

This tool was released by the WindowsClub and can be downloaded from here. Once you have it on your computer, unzip it and run its main executable as admin (Right click -> Run as administrator). Once the application is open, select the folder for which you want to remove the background image. Then, click on "Remove Background Image".
