    • Notice that the main components of the monitor are only accessible from the back of the device.

    • Locate the four hex head screws located on the corners of the back panel.

    • Remove the screws with a 2mm hex screwdriver.

    • To remove the metal panel, push towards the bottom of the monitor to release its clips and pull the panel away.

    • Remove black connector by pushing the end of the tab closest to the wiring and pulling away from board.

    • Be careful when lifting tabs, they break easily.

    • Locate the top and bottom connector on the CCFL inverter and remove it by inserting pin into the small holes and pulling away.

    • This step may be easier with two people.

This model is also known as the Apple Studio Display 15" LCD.

Failing caps were the main problem with this — no air flow.
