After turning on, the netbook turns off due to overheating and feels abnormally warm.
Fan not Working
If your device is overheating, it may be due to the fan’s inability to properly circulate air. If you hear unusual noises or no noises at all coming from the device, the fan may be dirty or broken. First, remove the back panel and clean the fan with compressed air. If this fails to work, the fan most likely needs to be replaced. Use to replace the fan.
If you are using the device on a soft surface (such as on top of a couch/bed), the vents on the bottom of the device may be blocked which can cause overheating. If this occurs, move the device to a solid flat surface such as a desk where the vents can freely allow air to circulate. If overheating still occurs while the device is on a flat surface, cleaning the fan or obtaining an external cooling pad could solve the issue.
Netbook displays black screen after turning it on.
RAM card may be broken or have a bad connection
If the computer ran slowly and crashed often before the black screen occurred, the RAM card may have a bad connection. While the device is turned off, take the back panel off of the laptop and locate the Once located, press firmly on it with both thumbs on either side of the card to ensure it has a solid connection. If the screen still displays nothing after turning the device on, the RAM card may be broken. You can use to help you replace the RAM.
System BIOS is corrupted or out of date
If the computer turns on and briefly displays a blue or black screen with text, then the problem may not be with the screen itself but rather the system BIOS. Turn the device on and press F10, F2, F12, F1, or DEL while it is booting up. After pressing one of those keys, the system BIOS should appear on the screen. If you feel comfortable navigating the screen and updating your own device’s BIOS then proceed with doing so, otherwise take the device to any tech support center and ask for their help.
Not Powering On
Netbook will not respond to the power button.
Failure of power button to connect
Even though it is charged, the netbook refuses to power on. Allow the device to sit momentarily on the charger, then attempt to press the power button again. If the button still does not respond, follow to replace the battery. If a battery replacement does not solve the problem, you may need to replace the charging port.
Power Systems Failed
The device is fully charged and in use, but then it abruptly powers off. Use to replace faulty battery.
Computer Won’t Connect to Wifi
Signals of available networks will not appear while attempting to connect to wifi.
Wireless Card Disconnected
Take the back panel off of the device and locate the Then, if either wire is not connected to the card, reconnect and attempt to connect to wifi again. If the device is able to connect then the error was due to faulty wiring, but if it is still unable to connect then follow .
Desired Network May Have a Weak Signal
If the device is having problems connecting with one specific network, that network’s modem/router may be struggling to put out a signal. To test this, find another open network (such as a friend’s or restaurant’s) and try connecting. If the connection is made successfully, then the problem is with the originally desired network’s signal. But, if the device still fails to connect to the different network, you can follow to replace the wireless card.
Computer Not Charging
Although connected to efficient charger, netbook will not charge.
While plugged in, the battery icon remains constant, neither increasing or decreasing. This could be a result of a poor power cable or damaged internal battery. Use to replace the battery.
Faulty Charging Cable
If your battery icon continues to decrease while your charger is plugged in, there may be a problem with the charger itself. Turn your device off and then disconnect your battery. After disconnecting, plug your charger in and try to power the device on. If it fails to do so, then your charger is broken and you will have to acquire a new one.
