Base Station is Sending a Poor Signal or No Signal
Devices accessing the internet through the Base Station have a difficult time maintaining connection
Check the placement of the Base Station
The surrounding environment can greatly affect the range of the Base Station. Place the base station away from metallic surfaces, entertainment centers, walls, and large pieces of furniture. Try to place the AirPort Extreme at least 25 feet (7.6 meters) from a microwave oven, cordless phones, or other sources of interference. The base station can be positioned on a wall or ceiling, and need not be level.
Add Additional Base Stations
You may need a base station in multiple rooms to cover a large house or office.
Replace the Antenna
If you are still receiving a weak signal, your antenna may need to be replaced.

Check the Modem
The problem could be that your modem is not giving off internet signal. Turn off the modem by unplugging it. Wait about five seconds and then plug the modem back in.
