If your Anbernic RG353V retro handheld game won't turn on when you push the power button, try these troubleshooting tips to solve your problem:
Battery is dead
Charge the battery. It might just be that the console needs to be charged, in that case this is an easy fix.
- Plug the chord of the Anbernic charger in the adapter.
- Once it's finished, turn it on.
Faulty Power Adapter
The charger might be faulty or the adapter could have been damaged and would render the adapter useless.
- Check to see that both the adapter and the cord are undamaged.
- If the cord is plugged in and the Anbernic shows a bright yellow light, the Anbernic is charging. Try to turn it on after 10 - 20 seconds.
- If the yellow light doesn’t show, consider getting a new cord. (Make sure that the cord is the correct type.)
- If the Anbernic still doesn't turn on it might just mean that you have a very old battery and you will need to replace it.
Power Button Isn't Fully Engaged
Debris or dust might have accumulated around the power button, preventing it from making proper contact to power on the device.
- Open up the Anbernic and try to find the dust or debris.
- If you find a sign of debris or dust, grab a soft and dry object that you can use to clean the button to help it get unstuck.(usually an old toothbrush should do the trick.)
- If you fail to find dust or debris or cleaning the area doesn't fix the situation, you may have to replace the power button.
Faulty Battery
The battery could be faulty. There could have been something wrong with it prior.
- A way to know if the battery is faulty is if there is rust on the battery, or if the type of battery has been exposed to liquid.
- To replace the battery, follow this guide.
Motherboard Failure
The motherboard could've failed. The motherboard could've been old and damaged prior to purchase.
- In this case the motherboard would need to be replaced. If you have a spare then it won't be a problem.
