Incomplete Brewing
The brewer brews a partial cup of coffee or does not brew.
Clogged Exit Needle
The exit needle may be clogged. To unclog it, we first must remove the pod holder. Pull up the lever of the pod holder, which will reveal the exit needle. Using a paper clip or similarly sized object, carefully loosen any possible clogs. Rinse the pod holder thoroughly with hot water and insert the pod holder back into the brewer. Finally, lower the handle.
Inadequate Water
If there is inadequate water in the brewer, the touch screen will display a message of, "More Water Please". Remove the water reservoir, pour more water into it and then reseat the reservoir back into the brewer. Take a look at our water reservoir replacement guide here if you need help removing or reseating it.
Grounds in Coffee
There are visible coffee grounds in your brewed cup of coffee.
Dirty Exit Needle
The exit needle may need to be cleaned, as grounds may have accumulated. To clean it, we must first remove the pod holder. Lift the lever of the pod holder, which should reveal the exit needle. Using a paper clip or similarly sized object, carefully loosen any possible grounds. Rinse the holder thoroughly with hot water and insert the pod holder back into the brewer. Then lower the handle.
Dirty Entrance Needles
The entrance needles may need to be cleaned, as grounds may have accumulated. To clean them, first lift the brewer handle. Locate the top entrance needles on the underside of the lid. Hold the brewer handle upward with one hand, while using the other hand to gently clean out any grounds from the needles using a straightened paperclip or similar tool. Lower the handle and run two water-only brew cycles. Ensure that no K-Cup pod is inserted while doing so.
Brewer Shuts Off
The machine suddenly turns off mid-brew.
Faulty Screen
Press and hold the brewer's power button and check if that triggers the power icon to appear on the screen. If the icon does not appear, there may be a problem with the LCD screen and it may need to be replaced. See our guide on how to replace the LCD screen here.
Improper Settings
Check to make sure that AUTO ON/OFF settings have not been set within the Settings Menu.
Unsealed Water Reservoir
First, ensure that the water reservoir is filled up properly. Then, make sure that the water reservoir is sealed correctly. If not, set the reservoir's magnet to its correct position.
Brewer Does Not Turn On
The machine does not start when the power button is pressed.
Brewer is Unplugged
Check to make sure that the brewer is plugged in. The brewer should be on its own circuit, separate from other appliances. Press and hold the power button and the touchscreen should become illuminated.
Circuit is Tripped
Check where the brewer is plugged in. If plugged into a surge protector, check to make sure the surge protector is not tripped. Attempt to run a different device off of the same outlet. If the machine still fails to power on, you may have a bad power supply or the brewer's circuit board may be faulty. See our guide on how to replace circuit board here.
Brewer Requests More Water
The machine shows an error that says that it needs more water.
Low Water
The machine may be running low on water. Remove the water reservoir and fill water to the MAX line. Reseat the reservoir back into the brewer. Make sure it is seated properly. Check out our reservoir replacement guide here if you are having trouble removing or reseating it.
Dirty Reservoir
If the touch screen is displaying "More Water Please" even after refilling the water reservoir, first remove the water reservoir and empty the water. Thoroughly clean the reservoir, and fill water to the MAX line. Finally, reseat the reservoir back into the brewer and make sure it is seated properly. Follow our water reservoir replacement guide here if you need additional assistance.

Water leaks from inside the machine after approx 2 yrs. Wish there was an easy solution, or that the leak occured during the warranty period.

Mine seem to work for few coffee but then stopped working. Is there any kind of hot water sensor or something that could cause that? It seem to happen after been on for a while or after few brew..

When we lower the handle to start the brewing process, it will start in some cases but not start in others. Is there a solution to this problem?

The screen on my k2.0-400 keeps going grayish blue and getting lines on it , I unplug it for a while and I can get it to work for a few days but it ends up randomly going back int this weird stage of operation. I opened a little door on bottom and WOW! there is a Phone jack under this thing! what in the heck is that for? It;s very discouraging to have to rest this expensive item to get it to work half a$$ed all the time,. is there something that can be done to make it work correctly again?

Everything checks out except when I press the brew switch on my 2.0 nothing is happening. Could I have a bad switch ?
This was the strangest thing, it was working fine one day and the next, I had to mess with the switch, pressing it on the sides to get it going. But after that, nothing.

I’ve descaled and cleaned (using a cleaning cup) my Keurig K250 for the first time AND replaced the charcoal water filter…. it no longer tells me it needs more water. It drains the reservoir dry and keeps on going. What to do?
