L460 Stuck in a Power or Sleep State
- Perform a power reset
- Disconnect the AC Adapter and remove the battery.
- Hold down the power button for 30 seconds to drain any residual power.
- Reconnect the battery and power adapter, then power on.
Faulty Graphic Output or Disabled Display
- Test with an external monitor
- Connect the laptop to an external display via HDMI or VGA.
- If you get output, your internal display or cable is likely the issue.
Display Turned Off or Brightness Too Low
- Adjust display settings
- Press Fn + F7 to switch between display modes.
- Press Fn + Home to increase brightness.
Loose Internal Display Cable
- Inspect and reseat the display cable
- Remove the keyboard and display bezel to access the LVDS/eDP cable.
- Ensure it's securely connected to both the motherboard and LCD panel.
Damaged or Dead LCD Panel
- Replace the LCD Panel
- Remove the bezel and disconnect the screen cable.
- Install a new, compatible LCD panel and reassemble.
