== Contexte ==

La DualShock 2 est une manette de jeu filaire lancée avec la PlayStation 2 en 2000. Ce modèle ne présente pas de gros changement par rapport à la DualShock originale, lancée elle en 1997. Les seules différences notables sont de petits changements esthétiques. En ce qui concerne l'apparence, la DualShock 2 a un logo bleu sur le dessus, qui la distingue de la version originale. Elle est aussi disponible en huit couleurs, la couleur standard étant le noir. Parmi les autres différences, on citera le déplacement d'une vis et l'absence d'une autre vis présente sur l'originale.

La fonctionnalité est légèrement différente avec la DualShock 2. Dans cette nouvelle version, les boutons sont sensibles à la pression, sauf les boutons Analog, Start, Select, L3 et R3. Cela signifie que plus on pousse sur les boutons, plus "l'action est forte", selon [link|https://www.cnet.com/reviews/sony-dualshock-2-review/|cnet.com|new_window=true]. CNET pointe aussi ce qu'il leur semble être un défaut de conception : le pavé directionnel segmenté "qui rend le contrôle un peu difficile pour les combats en 2D".
