Introduction

Whether your jacket has just been washed in the comfort of your home or in an alpine blizzard, it needs to be properly dried to avoid mildew. Here's how to do it: If you don't have a dryer, never fear—you can hang your jacket upside down on a line or tree branch to drip dry. Just be sure to turn out the hood and any pockets that may have collected water.
