red light - green light - shuts off completely

i plug in my ps3 to the outlet . switch it on from behind

the red light in front goes on , i press it , it turns green for 2 or 3 seconds and than it shuts off completely. no more lights no red light or yellow light flashing , nothing i have switch in off and then on from behind for the red light to get on again

Have you checked your power supply? Take a multimeter and see what the output of your PSU is.

power supply is okay , just got it out and tested in on a good working ps3 . works perfectly in the good working ps3 , and i put the power supply of the good working in mine and i got the same symptoms.

could it be the HHD?
