How do I charge an iPhone in a Bose docking station?

Have an iPhone which fits in the older model Bose docking sound station. BUT, the phone won't charge while it's in the station. Apparently, there is a cable or something you can get to connect the iPhone to the docking station. Does anyone know of this or what to do?

Yep- you need a charging converter. I recommend the Griffin Technology one found here.
