New trackpad doesn't fit

I've ordered new trackpad here and it is not the same old one. It have lugs that doesn't fit place. What's wrong? It's A1278 MBP and trackpad for A1278 model.

To avoid getting the wrong parts it helps to know your exact machine. This can be done by using the last three figures of your serial number and going to www.everymac.com and using their search engine find it, just plug in your numbers here: http://www.everymac.com/ultimate-mac-loo...

Hi Artem,

If you do indeed have a MacBook Pro A1278, then you accidentally ordered the incorrect one.

Apple in their infinite wisdom decided to keep the A1278 model number across all 13" Aluminum laptops. This means the 13" MacBook (which is what you ordered the part for) was also an A1278 even though the internals are quite different. I got your email so I will go ahead and let you know what to do there.

looks like you did get a1278 trackpad, however, this one is for a 2008 model (before they changed the macbook to macbook pro) You need one for 2009+

May I ask why are you replacing it? Is it not clicking? - Easy fix.
