How can I fix my backlight?
A while back I dropped my macbook pro while it was open (don't ask ;-p). The screen predictably shattered, but the backlight was working and the computer was operational. I sought out a lcd and installed it.
No backlight, but when showing a flashlight I could see everything was proper, and attaching a monitor works fine. I went here (and there) and looked through the files I changed the inverter (the ground has continuity) and left I/O (thanks for the guides) with no difference.
Sure love to know where I went wrong. Really love to know if there's a fix. Didn't see it here, did I miss something?
PS: the isight is still useful, and everything works (apparently) except the backlight.

Changing a backlight would be a very advanced DIY project... Was the replacement screen new? Most of these include (a) the backlight. You might want to speak with your LCD vendor .
