Hi I got a apple av composite cable last week and tried using it to show video on our new tv. It only worked on audio and today I turned it in and got a new one and it has the same problem. Should I try another device on it?

Ted Mayer, I'd start with the settings to access the TV Out, plug in your cable, then go to Settings > General > TV Out. (may be depending on your OS version)

It runs iOS 6.1.3
Tried that and it didn't seem to do anything. It just said widescreen off/on and NTSC and PAL
have you cleaned out the dock connector? not a bit of fluff etc blocking a pin?
