Laptop network adapter light always glows and not connecting

My laptop is Lenovo Ideapad y480, its network adapter light always glows and not able get internet connection with modem, only wifi is connecting. How to fix this issue. even if I do not connect the ethernet cable, network adapter light still glows (green and orange)

Options

IF you are using windows 7

Go to control panel->set category to ->small icon ->you will find "windows mobility centre" ->click on it you will find Wireless network you can on or off your device by using that..
