Liquid damage caused unresponsive trackpad?

So I was using my Mbp retina, when I left it unattended for a minute. One of the kids managed to spill coffee on the trackpad. The laptop boots and works fine. Keyboard has no issues either. After the spill I turned the laptop upside down and the trackpad was oozing coffee, more and more with every click. So I turned it off for 72 hours. Now the right side of the trackpad works just fine, gestures and all. But the left side has lost touch sensitivity. Click still works though.

Any other way except for Apple workshops?

Solution retenue

After the user noted that this was a retina, I did some research on the issue. I found no one who has removed the glued in battery yet, not even iFixit. Your options are expensive. You can replace the 661-6532-R upper case with the battery included, here: MacBook Pro 15" Retina (Mid 2012-Early 2013) Upper Case Assembly

You can try for a flat rate price directly from Apple.
