I dropped my tablet and now screen is cracked how do I fix it?

I dropped my tablet out of the window when I was taking a selfie and I think you have to go somewhere and get a screen replacement or you can buy a new screen of amazon or ebay ;)

I am a bit confused:-) you can not repair this but will have to replace the display....does that makes sense;-)??
