Why doesnt my LCD work after replacing it?

Hi,

My iphone recently took a bath and the LCD went out. I ordered a new one and went to replace it.

I replaced it successfully but its not turning on. The phone connects fine to the computer I have done a restore on it but nothing seems to work..

Also I have swapped the battery and tried other LCDs with the same issue what could be the problem?

Have you done anything to address the water damage? At the least, all of the components need to be inspected and cleaned with rubbing alcohol. Check all components for any signs of corrosion. Verify that the sockets for the LCD cable socket on the logic board free of corrosion and are still firmly attached and have not been loosened in the slightest. If they are loose, then the display will not be making good contact. Precision micro-soldering would be required to repair this issue.

Yes, I did ultrasonic cleaning in a 99% alcohol solution. I compared my board to a known good board (with no damage) nothing seemed different. The corrosion was reduced. The cables connecting the LCD are secured well.

When I take a flashlight to the screen I can see text. So the backlight doesnt seem to turn on.
