I have no display - can anyone identify the blown component please?

I recently replaced the optical drive in my late-2008 Unibody MBP. When I powered it up, the system reported no Airport card so I re-opened and checked the connectors to the display. After closing and starting up I heard a soft "pop" and smelled smoke, so immediately shut it off by holding the power key. After removing the logic board I have found a burned component - shown in the attached image. If anyone is able to help identify and suggest how I might repair this damage, I'd be really grateful.

Update

Should have added a happy ending here - I bought half a dozen of these fuses on eBay and after the most ridiculously challenging solder work ever, the machine is still functioning well a year later.

I should add - on reassembly and power-up, the machine boots and the display is showing an image, it's just black, so the backlight is broken.

Matthew Kirkcaldie , that sure looks like your backlight fuse F9800. It is 2AMP-32V SMD fuse in an 0402-HF package. Here is the datasheet You might get the fuse from here. Make sure that you know why the fuse blew. Hopefully it was just caused by shortening something out momentarily, not something that will continue to blow those fuses. Logic board repair on this level is not easy and the size of these components (0.991 mm L x 0.508 mm W) require special tools and special skills. Hope this helps, good luck.

Wonderful! Thank you, that's certainly the exact location of the part. I'm curious as to why it would actually blow instead of just going open, but if I order a couple of replacements I may be able to verify whether it was just a temporary problem or something more serious.

Thanks again for your swift and accurate help.
